Merchant processing services refers to the ability for businesses to accept credit and debit cards, specifically VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, as payment for their goods and/or services.
First National Bank & Trust offers two basic formats in which to accept credit and debit cards, DialPay and Electronic Processing. Both options offer simple to follow, flat rate pricing on standard and nonstandard transactions - the fee is the same whether you swipe the card or manually enter the account number. Our merchant specialists work with you to decide which option is the best for your business. We are Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant and follow all federal guidelines for merchant processing. All money is deposited into the merchant accounts within two to three business days.
DialPay
This type of processing is the most basic and is designed for low volume transactions. All that is needed is a touch tone telephone, an imprinter and a pen. Features of DialPay include:

- Low, one-time merchant kit fee

- Discount fee, also known as a transaction fee, which is determined by merchant type, average ticket size and monthly volume
- Local, knowledgeable customer service representatives available 24 hours to provide help desk support

A terminal is required for electronic processing and an imprinter is necessary if the terminal does not have a printer. Transactions are processed by swiping the card, following a few simple instructions on the terminal and having the customer sign the receipt. PC-based point-of-sale systems are also available and use your existing computer and choice of software for transactions.
